Welcome to Purple Carrot Bread CO.!

Purple Carrot Bread Co. is a Cafe, Bakery, and Catering Company located in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Here Artisan is Not Just a Buzzword. Artisan equals Small Batch. Our bread is made in small batches, we don’t have giant mass-production machines, and we don’t use preservatives, conditioners, or fillers in our breads.

The phrase “from scratch” is thrown around too. From scratch means hard work, less processed meals, and wholesome ingredients. We make all our bread in-house and most of our salad dressings, and we chop the veggies and lettuce in your salads. We even make our soups from scratch so there are no preservatives and a lot less sodium. Fresh breads are baked daily for purchase or choose your bread to get your sandwich on!

We make your life easier by providing Take & Bake Meals, Office Catering, and Catering for your Festive Occasions.

BREADS

Country Blonde, Country Wheat, Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Ciabatta, Kalamata Olive & Rosemary

These are our core breads and we typically have them on hand every day.

Asiago & Black Pepper, Seeded (Pumpkin, Flax & Sunflower Seeds), Sourdough

These are secondary breads meaning we alternate making them. Typically we will have either every day. Sourdough is usually made on most days.

N.Y. Style Rye (with Caraway Seeds), Wonderful Bread, Asiago Black Pepper, Whole Wheat Honey

These specialty breads are featured sporadically or can be special ordered at any time.

Cranberry Walnut

These breads are highly seasonal. You can special order but supplies have to be in season.

 

PASTRIES

Cinnamon Buns, Scones, Turnovers, Bread Pudding

Our pastries are made from scratch with no preservatives. Scones are different each day depending on the fruit we get from markets. We also make savory scones sometimes.

Breakfast Cookies, Monkey Bread, Cookies

Our Core cookies are Molasses Ginger, Brown Butter Chocolate Chip, and Double Chocolate Chip with pumpkin seeds.

Hand Rolled Croissants

Hand-rolled croissants are very different from the frozen products you will find in most fast food stores or even the grocery. They take hours to make but it’s worth it! We typically have Plain, Chocolate, or Ham & Swiss. Sometimes we will make a seasonal filled croissant such as pumpkin in the fall or strawberry in the summer.
